A new trailer for Disclosure Day has dropped, showcasing a unique take on close encounters from Steven Spielberg.

As highlighted, the eerie sounds of the mysterious alien lifeforms from the first Disclosure Day trailer are unmistakably present here.

While much of the storyline and its characters remain shrouded in secrecy, this Super Bowl spot emphasizes Colin Firth’s character. “If you do this, there’s no one doing it,” he cryptically states at one point. Is he a friend, an enemy, or something more ominous?

The public deserves answers. Disclosure Day hits theaters on June 12, 2026.

This upcoming sci-fi film marks Spielberg’s return to alien narratives after nearly two decades, following 2005’s War of the Worlds. The screenplay is crafted by his frequent collaborator David Koepp, with Spielberg providing the initial story concept. A detailed plot summary is still under wraps, as the film is being promoted with the enigmatic tagline, “All will be revealed.”

The cast features Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, and Wyatt Russell. And yes, the score is composed by the legendary John Williams.

Anticipation is high for the film, with the first trailer racking up 8 million views within the first 24 hours and now soaring to an impressive 32 million.

While Disclosure Day appears quite intense, Domingo assures that there’s “so much heart” in the film. “Especially for a sci-fi genre film,” he mentioned previously. “People are going to be surprised at how much heart there is and how it’s about ‘How do we come together in our humanity?’”
