Stranger Things Actor Gives Season 5 Finale a 3.5-Star Rating on Letterboxd

The finale of Stranger Things season 5 has sparked quite a bit of debate, with even one of the cast members sharing a rather tepid review on Letterboxd.

Raphael Luce, who portrayed a younger Henry Creel—who eventually becomes Vecna—rated the season finale three-and-a-half stars (along with a heart) on the platform. He simply noted, “The end,” in his review.

Interestingly, it seems Luce downgraded his rating from four stars after his initial viewing, as a fan pointed out, “is it really 4 stars tho i mean is it reeeeally.”

Luce appeared in flashbacks of Henry’s childhood across four episodes in season 4 and also features in season 5 for more young Henry scenes. The adult Henry, along with his terrifying transformation into Vecna, is played by Jamie Campbell Bower.

In the recently released documentary One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers, the show’s creators, admitted that crafting the finale was “the most difficult writing circumstance we’ve ever found ourselves in.” The final episode has faced criticism from fans, with some even speculating about a hidden episode dubbed “Conformity Gate,” suggesting it might serve as the “real” conclusion.

Stranger Things season 5 is currently available for streaming.
