Stray Kids Set to Join the Roblox Universe
The South Korean group Stray Kids is making their debut in Roblox today, bringing the SKZOO experience to life throughout the weekend while promoting their latest album, Do It. In the clips shared, players can see Stray Kids’ animated avatars performing their tracks in virtual concerts.
Stray Kids-themed items are hidden across four different Roblox experiences, with two collectibles available in each game. Players can gather all eight items and take them to The Block to enjoy a live performance by Stray Kids and snag additional free goodies from the band. Keep in mind, this event wraps up at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET on Monday, December 22.
In other Roblox news, the platform has faced a ban in Russia, where it has been criticized for its impact on children and for allegedly treating the sharing of LGBTQIA+ content as a crime. Russia isn’t the only country raising concerns; there have been accusations that Roblox hasn’t done enough to safeguard kids from exploitation and grooming. A June 2024 investigation highlighted issues with predators on the platform, leading to lawsuits from Florida and Texas. In response, Roblox has announced new measures aimed at preventing children from interacting with strangers and ensuring they connect primarily with peers their own age. Roblox CEO David Baszucki has firmly rejected the portrayal of the platform’s safety measures in these lawsuits, asserting that Roblox is continuously improving its protective features for in-game communication.
