T-Mobile Introduces $0-Down Financing Plan with Inclusive Taxes and Fees
T-Mobile is rolling out a fresh financing option that lets you spread the cost of a device, including taxes and fees, over 36 months. In a recent announcement, T-Mobile introduced its Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) Flex 36, which requires no upfront payment and offers a 0 percent APR for a limited time.
Typically, when financing a device, carriers expect you to cover sales tax, activation fees, or a down payment upfront. However, T-Mobile’s new plan allows you to manage all these expenses over time, although it’s noted that only “well-qualified customers” will enjoy a $0 upfront cost. The EIP Flex 36 is applicable to phones, watches, and tablets, and can be paired with T-Mobile’s device promotions.
Details on costs for those who don’t qualify as “well-qualified” or the expiration date of the 0 percent APR offer remain unclear. An inquiry for more information was made, but a response has not yet been received.
Additionally, T-Mobile is expanding its financing options to include a 36-month term for its standard 0 percent financing plan, which was previously limited to 24 months. The carrier is also launching new Student Perks plans, starting at $30 per line per month with autopay.
