Recent rumors hinted that physical copies of Grand Theft Auto 6 might face delays to prevent leaks, but Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has clarified that this isn’t the case. Fans of physical media can breathe easy, as it appears that everyone will be able to grab GTA 6 at launch.

When asked about the rumored delays for physical editions of GTA 6, Zelnick simply stated, “That’s not the plan.”

These rumors originated from a report by a Polish source, which claimed that physical discs could be postponed by weeks or even months after the digital release, supposedly to mitigate concerns over story and gameplay leaks.

Attempts to get a comment from Rockstar regarding these rumors went unanswered.

Take-Two has reaffirmed GTA 6’s release date of November 19, even ramping up their marketing efforts. This comes despite separate rumors of a potential delay, largely fueled by a misquote attributed to a well-known reporter.

In the meantime, Rockstar is facing controversy over the dismissal of over 30 employees involved in unionization efforts. Whether this will impact GTA 6’s launch remains uncertain, but it seems that both Rockstar and Take-Two are confident in their current plans.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to shape 2026 and the future of gaming, for better or worse.
