The Asus Chromebook Plus CX34 is now available at a great discount.

The Asus Chromebook Plus CX34 is a reliable laptop that offers great value without breaking the bank, even though it’s been around for nearly three years. Right now, it’s available at a lower price point, with several options under $400. The model boasting the most storage is currently priced at $399.99, which is about $100 off its usual cost. It features a 12th Gen Intel Core i3 processor (1215U), 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. If you don’t need that much space, the 128GB version is available for $349.99, equipped with a slightly faster 13th Gen Intel Core i3 processor (1315U).

For those seeking the best performance, the fastest variant of the CX34 is discounted to $399.99. This model comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, powered by the 13th Gen Intel Core i5 1335U, which should provide a noticeable boost in performance compared to the i3 models.

The Asus Chromebook Plus CX34 is a solidly constructed Chromebook that delivers commendable performance for its price, even if its 8GB of RAM may not seem impressive by current standards. However, 8GB is more than sufficient for ChromeOS, unlike on Windows 11 or macOS. Its Chromebook Plus label means it includes access to Gemini and a complimentary year of Google AI Pro, which offers features like Nano Banana and Veo via Gemini, plus 5TB of storage, along with other perks.

In our tests, it outperformed many budget Chromebooks, remaining responsive and quick even with multiple apps running alongside downloads and updates. The 14-inch anti-glare 1080p display is sharp, and the 1080p webcam is solid as well. Plus, it offers a good selection of ports, including two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, and a headphone jack, making it easy to connect to external monitors and other devices.
