The beloved $20 Magic card is making a comeback in Marvel Super Heroes, but with a twist.

Magic: The Gathering is gearing up for an epic showdown next week with the arrival of Marvel Super Heroes, and among the exciting reprints in this set, one card almost slipped under the radar.

Time Warp, which first appeared in Tempest back in 1997, has had its fair share of reprints, including a spot in the Secrets of Strixhaven Mystical Archive this year. Now, it’s making a comeback with fresh Marvel artwork and some intriguing flavor text from Kang the Conqueror.

“Victory is inevitable. I have all the time in the world,” the card now boasts, alongside its classic effect: “Target player takes an extra turn after this one.”

An extra turn can be a game-changer for your opponents, especially if you can retrieve it from your graveyard using cards like Archaeomancer or Mystic Sanctuary. What’s particularly noteworthy about this version of the iconic card is how you’ll be able to acquire it.

While Time Warp is classified as a rare card, its inclusion in the Jumpstart “Kang Dynasty” pack—expected to be a sought-after, mythic-level product—means it might be as elusive as a mythic card in practice.

According to the card library, Time Warp will also appear in Collector Boosters (if your wallet can handle it), the Draft Night box, and the Gift Bundle (likely included in the Collector Boosters of those products).

Additionally, it will feature in the MTG Arena Limited Pack and be available as a Wildcard, with Marvel Super Hero cards making their way into the digital version of the game, bringing along the long-awaited Spider-Man cards as well.

While some may have been skeptical about returning to the Marvel universe, there are some solid reprints joining Time Warp in this set, which launches next week.

Black Market Connections is included in the Doom Prevails precon, Kindred Discovery makes an appearance in Avengers Assemble, and even poison counters are making a comeback with The Serpent Society.

Although Time Warp may not carry a hefty price tag due to those reprints, I’m definitely looking to add it to my Vivi deck for those extra turns when I need them.
