The Clicks Power Keyboard Doubles as a Phone Battery Backup

Clicks is branching out from its keyboard cases and introducing a new accessory: a magnetic power bank that features a slide-out keyboard. The Power Keyboard packs a 2150mAh battery capable of charging your phone via MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging. However, its standout feature is the full keyboard that connects to your phone or smart device through Bluetooth. A multitasking battery pack is already a win, but having a portable keyboard for your phone is even better.

This Power Keyboard is designed with adjustable positions to fit various phone sizes and can be used in landscape mode or wirelessly over Bluetooth without needing to be physically connected to your device. This flexibility allows it to serve as an input device for a smart TV or tablet when needed. While the keyboard requires power from its built-in battery to function via Bluetooth, Clicks’ cofounder and marketing head, Jeff Gadway, assures that users can “protect milliamp-hourage for keyboard usage,” ensuring your phone retains enough charge to stay operational.

Clicks first unveiled its keyboard case for iPhones at CES 2024, expanding the concept to support more phone models, including Motorola’s flip phones. The Power Keyboard represents an intriguing evolution of this idea, appealing to those who want a versatile keyboard for multiple smart devices or who appreciate the added functionality of a power bank. It could be particularly useful with devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold, which would be cumbersome to use with a dedicated keyboard case.

The Power Keyboard is set to launch this spring for $109, with preorders starting today at an early bird price of $79.
