The most anticipated farming sim of 2026 boasts an incredible voice cast.

Over the years, numerous indie games have drawn inspiration from Stardew Valley, each with varying levels of success, and Emberville is emerging as a standout contender. Not only does it boast impressive mechanics, but it also features an exceptional voice cast.

The announcement came through a delightful 56-second video, revealing the full cast list.

Developed by Cygnus Cross, this cast reveal followed closely on the heels of the announcement for Emberville’s early access release, set for Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

“Awaken with no memories inside the Vitromotus, a vast underground world created as a magical dungeon where death no longer lasts,” states the Emberville Steam page. “Explore its depths, battle dangerous creatures, rescue survivors, and rebuild the ruined town of Emberville while uncovering the truth behind this prison.”

Ben “CohhCarnage” Cassell, a content creator and co-founder of Cygnus Cross, shared in a separate post that the team has been dedicated to making Emberville as immersive as possible, with the impressive voice cast being a testament to that effort.

With a diverse range of voiced characters, Emberville aims to enhance the narrative experience compared to Stardew Valley. Additionally, it promises to elevate combat mechanics with “action-focused combat that rewards positioning, timing, and knowledge,” featuring “unique weapon-bound combos” and “skills from a wide array of combat classes,” as detailed on the Steam page.

The developers assure players that the early access version will deliver a rich experience: “Emberville’s early access phase will present a fully playable experience with a substantial amount of content, and we will provide meaningful updates throughout early access.” This will encompass gameplay from early to mid-game, base building, gathering, crafting, farming, cooking, melee/magic/ranged combat, equipment, skills, and much more.
