The Punisher is set for one final showdown before teaming up with Spider-Man.
It’s shaping up to be an exciting year for the Punisher, as Jon Bernthal reprises his role as Frank Castle not just once, but twice in 2026. With the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day set for July, which may see the Punisher and Spider-Man join forces, fans can also look forward to a special presentation titled The Punisher: One Last Kill.
The first trailer for The Punisher: One Last Kill dropped recently, showcasing a visibly troubled Frank Castle as he unleashes his brutal brand of justice on the crime-infested streets of New York. This Disney Plus one-shot promises no shortage of action, featuring intense scenes filled with gunfire, brutal beatdowns, and bodies flying from high places, all thanks to a clearly disturbed Frank.
A brief synopsis reveals that Frank is on a quest for meaning beyond revenge, but an unexpected force pulls him back into the fray.
Jon Bernthal serves as executive producer for The Punisher: One Last Kill, which is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who co-wrote the special alongside Bernthal. Jason R. Moore returns as Curtis Hoyle, a close ally of Frank’s and a former U.S. Navy Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman (SARC), previously seen in the Netflix series.
Additionally, a new poster for The Punisher: One Last Kill was unveiled, featuring Frank in a striking pose reminiscent of classic action heroes.
Mark your calendars: The Punisher: One Last Kill is set to premiere on Disney Plus on May 12, followed by the Punisher’s return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31. A new era for Spider-Man is just around the corner!
