The Trump phone’s price has increased by $250.
If you missed the chance to grab a Trump phone at launch, you’re in for some bad news: the price has jumped to $749, a hefty $250 increase from its original launch price. The T1 Phone itself remains unchanged.
Trump Mobile didn’t make a big announcement about the price hike; they simply updated their website overnight. This wasn’t entirely unexpected, especially considering the phone comes with a generous 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. Earlier this year, two Trump Mobile executives referred to the $499 launch price as “introductory,” and soon after, the website labeled it a “promotional price.” That terminology has since been removed.
When I reviewed the Trump phone back in July, I wasn’t particularly impressed, even at the initial $499 price point. At $749, there’s no reason to recommend it. For that price, you could snag an iPhone 17E or Galaxy S26 FE and still have $50 left over for a stylish case; spend just $50 more, and you could get an older flagship like the iPhone 16 or Pixel 10. Any of these alternatives would easily outperform the T1 Phone.
Surprisingly, the Trump phone has received some support since its launch, with one software update rolling out that upgraded it from Android’s February 2026 security patch to the May 2026 version. However, it’s still running on Android 15, which is now two years old.
Although the Trump phone officially started shipping in May, nearly a year after its announcement, it’s still unclear how many customers have actually received their devices. A recent report indicated that some buyers are still waiting for their phones to arrive.
