The White House Launches New App Encouraging Users to Report Individuals to ICE
A new official app from the White House is now available on both Android and iOS, bringing the content from the White House website directly to your mobile device. The app was announced via a tweet that included a lighthearted video about missile launches, which humorously featured an iPhone instead of the much-discussed Trump Phone. Currently, there are no details regarding any exclusive features or connections to Trump Mobile services.
The app includes several tabs that largely mirror the existing pages on the Trump Administration’s version of the White House website. Users can access news, livestreams, social media feeds, and a gallery. A notable “Get in Touch” button within the social feeds tab allows users to submit tips to ICE, directing them to a tip form on the ICE website. Additionally, users can text the president, reach out to the White House, or sign up for a newsletter—though there might be better options out there.
This development raises an interesting question: when a new president takes office, there’s typically a transition process for the White House website and social media accounts. Will this app undergo a similar handover?
