Tomb Raider: Catalyst and Legacy of Atlantis will feature a new voice for Lara, familiar to players of Cyberpunk 2077.

The Game Awards turned out to be an exciting event for Tomb Raider enthusiasts, featuring not one but two major announcements. The first is Catalyst, a brand-new title that continues Lara’s journey, while the second, Legacy of Atlantis, is a remake of the original game in the series. This signals a fresh chapter for the iconic franchise, complete with a new voice for Lara.

According to an official post from Amazon, Alix Wilton Regan will be voicing Lara in both upcoming titles. Regan is well-versed in voice acting, and many gamers may recognize her from roles such as Samantha Traynor in Mass Effect 3, Alt Cunningham in Cyberpunk 2077, the Inquisitor in Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Calista in The Last Story (which deserves more love, by the way). We caught a glimpse of Regan’s portrayal of Lara in the trailers shown during The Game Awards, and it certainly inspires confidence in this new version of the beloved adventurer.

Regan joins a long line of talented actors who have voiced Lara, each bringing their unique flair to the character. Her immediate predecessor in the survivor trilogy, Camilla Ludington, left a lasting impact with her interpretation of Lara. In Netflix’s animated series, Legend of Lara Croft, Hayley Atwell takes on the role, while Sophie Turner, known for her work in Game of Thrones, is set to portray Lara in the latest live-action adaptation, following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander.

Fans can look forward to experiencing Regan’s take on Lara Croft when Legacy of Atlantis launches in 2026.

Tomb Raider: Catalyst picks up “years after” 2008’s Underworld, finally advancing Lara Croft’s story from the Legend trilogy after nearly two decades.
