Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Introduces Hugh Morris, the Charming Clown Everyone’s Talking About
With the upcoming launch of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream this April, excitement is reaching new heights, largely thanks to one standout Mii character featured in the recent release date trailer.
You know who I’m talking about—Hugh Morris, right? For those who might not be familiar, he’s the clown/jester-coded Mii who’s become a love interest for just about every other Mii in the trailer. With his goofy jokes and quirky antics, he’s managed to win over the hearts of all the residents showcased—and apparently, he’s captured the affection of fans in real life too (myself included).
Just take a look at him! Memes are popping up everywhere, with one user even creating a fake Tinder profile for Hugh, whose name cleverly hints at “humorous.” They posed the question, “Left or right?” to see if fans would swipe to date him or pass. One user humorously replied, “I don’t know how Tinder works, whichever is yes.” Same here, friend. Same here.
On another thread, someone asked, “So we’re all putting Hugh on our island, right?” A devoted Hugh Morris fan chimed in, “Oh, 100%. He’s so silly and whimsical.” The love for this Tomodachi Life clown doesn’t stop there. Another thread playfully declared “the true best part” of the Living the Dream trailer is, you guessed it… Hugh. A gif of the charming jester in all his colorful glory was shared to prove the point.
Fans are also raving about him on Twitter, with some taking the conversation in a more risqué direction. One user asked, “Why is he the most attractive Mii on the island?” Another replied, “I get it, tbh.” The comments just keep getting better, with one fan quipping, “Have you seen him?” It’s clear that the world is in need of Hugh Morris, and they want him now. The wait for April 16 is going to feel long, that’s for sure.
I have to admit, I’m a bit bummed that Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has restrictions on screenshot sharing—but maybe it’s for the best that players’ moments with Hugh will remain private… or maybe not.
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream won’t allow Mii and item sharing or any real online features, and honestly, I could really use Hugh Morris to lift my spirits.
