Trump Calls for Jimmy Kimmel’s Dismissal from ABC

President Donald Trump is urging Disney to dismiss Jimmy Kimmel following a joke Kimmel made about Melania Trump, where he likened her to an “expectant widow” in a skit related to the upcoming White House Correspondents’ Dinner. This skit aired just days before an armed gunman attempted an assassination at the event, which both President Trump and Melania attended, leading to their evacuation along with other officials.

Trump, who has been the subject of health speculation recently, viewed Kimmel’s remark as a provocation. He expressed his outrage on Truth Social, stating, “I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel’s despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said but, this is something far beyond the pale. Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC.”

Melania Trump also addressed the situation on X, saying, “Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community?”

Disney has not yet commented on the matter. The company previously suspended Kimmel in September after he made remarks regarding the alleged shooter of Charlie Kirk, following pressure from the FCC Chairman, but he was reinstated shortly thereafter.
