Ugreen Launches Soccer Ball-Shaped Tracker with Impressive 7-Year Battery Life

Ugreen has unveiled a new tracker compatible with Apple’s Find My network, featuring a unique design that may limit its hiding spots but significantly enhances battery longevity. Drawing inspiration from major football tournaments, the Ugreen FineTrack 2 resembles a soccer ball and is intended to be attached to keys or bags. While it’s larger than an Apple AirTag or typical credit card-sized trackers, it remains compact enough to fit in a suitcase or your car’s glove compartment.

The waterproof FineTrack 2 is now available for $19.99 and is powered by a 600mAh CR2450 battery, which can last between five to seven years when connected to Apple’s Find My network. Ugreen is known for its impressive battery life; for instance, it recently updated its 1.7mm thick credit card tracker to support Google’s Find Hub network, boasting five years of battery life. However, once the battery runs out, it becomes e-waste, a situation that also applies to the FineTrack 2. Unlike an AirTag, which has a replaceable battery that lasts about a year, the FineTrack 2’s battery is neither rechargeable nor replaceable.

In addition to the FineTrack 2, Ugreen has also introduced the FineTrack Mini 2. This version offers the same functionality and battery life as the ball-shaped model, including five to seven years of non-replaceable battery life, waterproofing, and a loud 110dB alarm. However, it features a smaller, lighter, and more traditional design that makes it easier to conceal. The FineTrack Mini 2 is available exclusively in four-packs for $45.99.
