Valor Mortis Now Available on PS Plus and Game Pass for Free Trials

One More Level Games, the team behind Ghostrunner, is set to launch their next title, Valor Mortis, on October 13 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. The game will debut on Game Pass and offer a trial for PlayStation Plus subscribers, giving many players a chance to experience it at no cost.

Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike adventure featuring William, a fallen soldier from Napoleon’s army. After his revival, he discovers that a plague has turned his comrades into monstrous beings, while also granting him unique abilities. Players will need to defeat these infected foes while collecting Catalysts and Ambers to enhance their skills and customize William’s stats to fit their playstyle.

If this sounds like your kind of game, mark your calendar for October 13. Game Pass subscribers will have full access on launch day, while PlayStation Plus members can enjoy a 90-minute trial. The game is expected to take around 20 hours to complete, so the trial offers a substantial glimpse into the experience. Any progress made during the trial will carry over if players decide to purchase the full game later.

Valor Mortis is priced at $39.99 across all platforms. The developers aimed for a more budget-friendly price to better compete with the crowded release schedule this fall.

“We believe it can stand alongside full-price titles, but with so many games launching this season, we decided to set Valor Mortis at $39.99. We’re excited to let the game speak for itself when it releases on October 13!”

Digital pre-orders are not available, ensuring that no exclusive content is locked behind a paywall, and all players will have access at the same time. However, physical editions of Valor Mortis can be pre-ordered, which will include a disc instead of just a code. This is especially beneficial for Xbox players, as they will receive a digital license for Valor Mortis, allowing them to play on multiple devices, including PC, through Play Anywhere.
