Vecna from Stranger Things Sparks Conspiracy Theories with Cryptic Message: “Tomorrow it begins”

In a surprising twist, Jamie Campbell Bower, known for his role as Henry Creel, aka Vecna, in Stranger Things, seems to be unintentionally fueling a new fan-driven conspiracy theory that’s making waves online, dubbed Conformity Gate.

During an appearance on a late-night show, Bower participated in an ’80s-inspired aerobics video that humorously references his character. This playful nod highlights how much leaner Vecna appeared in season 5 compared to season 4. However, the clip takes a curious turn when Bower states, “Let’s channel our energy. Tomorrow it begins,” just before the screen flashes red.

Posted on January 6, this statement implies that “tomorrow” refers to January 7, the date when Conformity Gate enthusiasts believe the true finale of Stranger Things will be revealed. Fans are convinced that this is Bower’s subtle confirmation of the theory. One fan even tweeted, “Isn’t it ironic that Vecna, on the day before [Conformity Gate], is having his own segment basically a way of saying we all got Vecna’d?”

So, what exactly is Conformity Gate? If you haven’t encountered this buzz yet, it’s a theory suggesting that another episode of Stranger Things is set to premiere on Netflix on January 7. This speculation arose from fans’ dissatisfaction with the season 5 finale, leading them to believe that Vecna has manipulated their perception, making them see a version of reality that isn’t true.

The actual season finale, which premiered on Netflix on New Year’s Eve, showcased Eleven and her friends defeating Vecna in the Abyss, culminating in Eleven’s sacrifice to close the Upside Down. Despite the fervor surrounding Conformity Gate, the creators and Netflix have not indicated that any additional episodes are in the works, suggesting that fans may need to accept the current conclusion.

All seasons of Stranger Things are available for streaming on Netflix now.
