Walton Goggins is set to star alongside Chloe Grace Moretz in “Mister,” an action-thriller marking the directorial debut of DP Wade Eastwood.

According to reports, the film, produced by the studio behind John Wick, follows a man (Goggins) who wakes up in a mysterious house covered in blood and must confront his true identity while fending off contract killers from his past, including former lovers and his best friend. To escape, he teams up with his estranged daughter (Moretz), who is also involved in the family business, but they must mend their relationship to survive.

Josh Brolin was originally cast in the lead role but had to withdraw due to scheduling issues. Filming is set to begin next month in Madrid, with Goggins sharing on Instagram that rehearsals have been quite intense. Fresh off the success of Fallout season 2, he’s ready to embrace the action, channeling his inner Keanu Reeves for the role.

Moretz, known for her roles in “Kick-Ass” and the “Carrie” remake, will next appear in the romantic comedy “Love Language” alongside Anthony Ramos and Manny Jacinto. “Mister” marks her return to the thriller genre since 2021’s “Mother/Android.”

A release date for “Mister” has not yet been announced. For more, keep an eye out for our list of the most anticipated upcoming movies in 2026 and beyond.
