Xbox introduces a revamped boot animation for its consoles.

It seems like there’s always something happening in the Xbox world, and today is no exception. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has just revealed that a fresh boot-up sound and animation will roll out for Xbox owners on May 13th. The new console boot animation features the updated Xbox logo, accompanied by a revamped version of the familiar boot-up sound.

Last month, Microsoft unveiled this sleek new Xbox logo, and they’ve already made dynamic backgrounds and profile pictures available for fans to enjoy. The logo sports a more polished, glassy appearance, and it’s also being incorporated into some internal materials for the next-gen Project Helix.

This announcement about the boot animation comes right on the heels of Sharma’s first significant organizational changes at Xbox. These adjustments will see some long-time team members leaving, while others will be promoted, alongside new hires with technical expertise to bolster the Xbox platform team. Sharma has brought in several former colleagues from Microsoft’s CoreAI division to introduce “new leaders with consumer and technical expertise we do not yet have.”

Additionally, Sharma is making her presence felt at Xbox by prioritizing highly requested console features, lowering the price of Xbox Game Pass, and shifting Microsoft Gaming back under the Xbox umbrella.
