Xbox Surprises with Major Free Game for PS Plus in June

I’m hydrating more, firing up the grill, planning my first pool day, and cranking the air conditioner. Memorial Day has passed, and summer vibes are officially in full swing. It’s that time of year when I feel the urge to be outdoors, but the heat often keeps me inside. Thankfully, with one of this month’s free PS Plus games, Grounded, I can explore my backyard from the comfort of my home office.

On May 26, it was announced that June’s monthly games would be available to all PS Plus subscribers across every tier. Starting June 2, these titles will be yours to add to your PlayStation library permanently. Once you’ve added them, you can install and play them anytime as long as you maintain an active PS Plus Essential, Extra, or Premium subscription. Here’s the lineup of games and their available platforms.

Make sure you don’t wait too long to snag these PS Plus monthly games, as they’re only free until July 6. After that, a fresh batch of yet-to-be-revealed games will be available for subscribers.

Hold on a second! EA Sports FC 26? Wasn’t that one of last month’s PS Plus freebies? Yes, it was, and it’s sticking around for another month. Not everyone is thrilled about it, but I’m excited to see Grounded make its way to PS Plus. I had a blast playing it on Xbox years ago, but I never got to team up with friends since most of them are on PlayStation. Hopefully, I can persuade them to brave the giant spiders and other creepy crawlies so we can dive into this charming survival sim about tiny humans navigating a backyard.

On another note, All-Star Brawl 2 is one of those games I’ll probably only play with friends since it’s free for all of us. And for those into co-op shooters, Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a solid pick. It may have launched with some issues, but it’s been patched up into a pretty enjoyable experience, especially when you don’t have to shell out extra cash for it.

Don’t forget to add May’s freebies to your PlayStation account library. You have until June 2 to grab Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Nine Sols.
