YouTube Premium to Add Peacock Streaming Service in 2024

YouTube’s ad-free Premium subscription is set to gain an exciting new feature: access to Peacock. In a recent announcement, NBCUniversal revealed that a multi-year agreement will enable Premium subscribers to stream Peacock’s ad-supported content, including shows, movies, and live sports, directly through the YouTube app starting in 2027.

YouTube will include Peacock in its standard subscription, which saw a price increase to $15.99 per month in April, as confirmed by a YouTube spokesperson. This bundle offers a more economical option compared to subscribing to both services separately, as Peacock’s ad-supported plan currently starts at $10.99 per month.

This partnership comes at a crucial moment for Peacock, which is transitioning away from Comcast’s broadband business alongside NBCUniversal and Sky. Matt Strauss, chairman of NBCUniversal’s media group, stated that this agreement will enhance Peacock’s growth by making the service accessible to millions of YouTube Premium subscribers.

YouTube reported having 125 million Premium and Music subscribers in 2025, while Comcast’s latest earnings indicated that Peacock has 48 million subscribers in the US. Notably, Peacock also achieved profitability for the first time last quarter.

As part of this collaboration, NBCUniversal will stream a selection of live sporting events on YouTube and will extend its distribution agreement with YouTube TV.
