Caps Secures Spot in League of Legends Hall of Legends 2026

Riot Games has officially welcomed Rasmus “Caps” Winther into the League of Legends Hall of Legends, making him the first Western player to achieve this honor, following Faker in 2024 and Uzi in 2025.

Earlier this week, assets for the Hall of Legends were added to the League PBE, inadvertently revealing the 2026 inductee ahead of schedule. This leak prompted Riot to make an announcement sooner than planned.

The same leak also indicated that Tristana will be getting the Immortalized Legend skin. While Caps’ induction is confirmed, Riot has yet to unveil the full lineup of skins and cosmetics.

Caps will receive his Hall of Legends trophy during a ceremony in Berlin on August 18. His dedicated website will launch on August 24, with an in-game event set for September 10. This event will feature a pass highlighting key moments from his career, along with a collection of cosmetics themed around him, with further details to be revealed. Similar passes were created for Faker and Uzi, giving us a glimpse of what to expect.

Additionally, Riot released a trailer announcing Caps as the latest inductee, along with a full Hall of Legends film scheduled for September 10. This film will explore his career and his significant role in European League, where he has been a pivotal player for many of the region’s top international teams over the last decade.

To be considered for the Hall of Legends, candidates must have competed at the Tier 1 level for at least five cumulative years. Riot employees from major regions nominate around 20 eligible players, and an independent panel of 50 esports veterans votes on them based on criteria such as international appearances, regional and international titles, role-specific statistics, and contributions to competitive League.

Inductees receive a trophy along with their in-game event, pass, and cosmetic collection. They also share in the revenue generated from Hall of Legends passes and bundles, which is split with their current and former teams.

Caps now joins Faker and Uzi as the only players inducted since the Hall of Legends was established in 2024. More details regarding his skins, bundles, pass rewards, and pricing are anticipated before the in-game celebration kicks off on September 10.
