Donk Breaks FACEIT CS2 Elo Record, Surpassing MaiL09

Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, the rifler for Team Spirit, has shattered the all-time FACEIT Elo record in Counter-Strike 2, reaching an impressive 5,434 points. This achievement surpasses the previous record of 5,415 held by Liam “MaiL09” Tugel.

With eight days left in the current season, the 19-year-old talent has a solid opportunity to elevate the record even further before the season wraps up.

Starting Season 8 after the Elo soft-reset at 3,935, donk has made a remarkable ascent of 1,499 Elo over 152 matches, boasting an average FACEIT Rating of 1.49. Maintaining such a high rating over a 10-map tournament is a significant accomplishment, but achieving that level across 152 matches showcases donk’s extraordinary consistency.

This Elo climb coincides with his rising individual performance in top-tier competitions. Season 8 kicked off in April 2026, shortly after IEM Rio 2026, where Spirit reached the finals against Team Vitality. Since then, donk has maintained an impressive average rating of 1.46 at the IEM Cologne 2026 Major.

The highest Elo in FACEIT CS2 now belongs to @donk1337 at 5,434, surpassing MaiL09’s previous record of 5,415. Since starting Season 8 at 3,935 Elo, he has climbed 1,499 Elo across 152 matches, averaging a 1.49 FACEIT Rating. With eight days remaining, he has the chance to further extend this record.

donk’s push in Season 8 marks a return to the record he previously held in July 2025. That high of 5,350 stood for nearly six months until the young Swedish player MaiL09 surpassed it in November 2025, becoming the first to break the 5,400 barrier with a peak of 5,415 points. This achievement also made MaiL09 the youngest player to top the FACEIT Elo charts.

Now, just a season later, donk has reclaimed and elevated his record in Season 8. Currently, MaiL09 is ranked No. 61 on the EU FACEIT leaderboard with 4,188 Elo, having taken significant breaks during the season. It remains to be seen if he can respond in Season 9, as he returns to Metizport’s active roster to begin the tier-two circuit.

Widely regarded as one of the top players in Counter-Strike 2, donk earned MVP honors at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 during his rookie year and set a rating record at IEM Katowice 2024. He also clinched the HLTV Player of the Year award that same year, narrowly beating out ZywOo and m0NESY.

Known for his exceptional mechanical skills, donk has introduced innovative techniques like the “donk-slide” to the professional scene. He has consistently ranked among the top performers on FACEIT, achieving five consecutive No. 1 rankings from seasons one to five.

With eight days left in Season 8, donk’s lead over the rest of the FACEIT leaderboard is likely to continue expanding. However, his rivals can take comfort in knowing that his focus will be divided between the platform and his official matches at BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026.
