ExpressVPN Launches Major Initiative in Esports

ExpressVPN is making a significant move into the esports arena with a new four-part partnership initiative. The company has officially teamed up with the LEC, VCT EMEA and Americas, the Berlin-based esports organization G2 Esports, and the European World of Warcraft guild Method.

As the official VPN partner for these entities, ExpressVPN is renewing its collaboration with the LEC, which originally began in August 2025. The company also previously partnered with Team Vitality.

The partnership will feature various activations, including promotions during broadcasts and creator content, exclusive in-game rewards, livestream drops, and a range of giveaways throughout the year.

To further its gaming focus, ExpressVPN has launched a dedicated social channel for gaming content, which will host its own giveaways and exclusive material.

While the majority of this sponsorship effort targets high-profile leagues and well-known organizations, Method and its World of Warcraft presence are noteworthy. Activision Blizzard’s official esports circuits for World of Warcraft don’t attract the same attention as tier 2 esports like Rocket League or Rainbow Six Siege. However, Method gained fame in the community by innovating the Race to World First competition format. As a consistent contender, Method will kick off its own 24/7 broadcast on March 24, aiming to be the first guild to conquer the latest endgame content in WoW’s newest expansion, Midnight. The broadcasts for top competitors like Echo and Team Liquid often dominate Twitch viewership during these intense events.

Liam Whitehead, Method’s Head of Partnerships, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “I knew there was an incredible opportunity to once again showcase World of Warcraft at the forefront of competitive gaming with an amazing use case for ExpressVPN. This partnership will highlight how Method and MMORPG communities are utilizing streamers, players, broadcasts, and web assets to demonstrate the tools available for online safety.”
