Initial Insights into the 2026 Valorant EMEA Clash
Riot Games has unveiled exciting details about the Valorant EMEA Clash 2026, a competitive event for Europe that unites tier one and two teams vying for a chance to secure a spot at Masters Santiago later this year.
In collaboration with MENA tournament operator Vanguard, the Valorant EMEA Clash 2026 will feature six teams from the Valorant Champions Tour EMEA (VCT EMEA) alongside six teams from EMEA Challengers, creating a 12-team showdown to crown both the “Alpha Champion” and the “Omega Champion.” This will be decided through two simultaneous double-elimination brackets, each producing its own champion.
It’s important to note that the Valorant EMEA Clash will not include the three teams from VCT EMEA that have already qualified for Masters Santiago through the Kickoff tournament, nor the three lowest-performing teams from the region. Riot’s announcement was somewhat unclear regarding the selection process for the participating teams.
The “VCT Elite,” which consists of the top four teams from the VCT EMEA Kickoff, will receive a “bye” into round two. Meanwhile, the Challenger Pool, made up of the remaining two VCT EMEA teams and six Challengers teams (totaling eight), will be drawn randomly.
Riot promises a distinctive format for the Valorant EMEA Clash 2026, stating that:
Starting in round two, if a team loses in the Upper Bracket of Alpha, they won’t just drop down; they will be transported across dimensions into the Lower Bracket of Omega. The same rule applies for teams in Omega that fall into Alpha.
The Valorant EMEA Clash 2026 is set to take place on multiple dates: February 29 – March 22, and February 24 – 25. Fans can catch all the action on the official VCT EMEA YouTube and Twitch channels.
