KRAFTON Achieves Record Revenue and Allocates $686M for Shareholder Returns

KRAFTON wrapped up fiscal year 2025 with impressive revenue figures, showcasing the resilience of its PUBG franchise while unveiling a bold multi-year plan to boost shareholder returns and strengthen investor trust.

The company reported consolidated revenue of around $2.28 billion USD (₩3.33 trillion KRW) for the year, marking a 22.8% increase compared to the previous year, as detailed in its FY2025 and 4Q25 earnings report. In the fourth quarter alone, revenue hit approximately $631 million (₩919.7 billion), a significant 48.9% rise year-over-year, driven by robust performance across PC, console, and mobile platforms.

Much of this growth was credited to the enduring popularity of the PUBG IP, which continued to see revenue growth on both PC and console. KRAFTON also pointed out the early success of new titles, with inZOI selling over one million copies within just a week of early access, and MIMESIS achieving the same milestone in 50 days.

However, despite the record revenue, profitability took a hit as KRAFTON ramped up investments in talent, technology, and long-term franchise projects. Operating profit dipped 11% year-over-year to about $724 million (₩1.05 trillion), reflecting the increased spending associated with evolving the PUBG platform and expanding its development team.

Net profit saw a sharper decline, falling to approximately $503 million (₩733.7 billion), down 43.7% year-over-year, with the fourth quarter even reporting a slight net loss due to peak operating expenses. Management characterized this margin compression as a strategic investment phase, positioning 2025 as a pivotal year for scaling IP and developing future projects.

In conjunction with its earnings, KRAFTON introduced a mid- to long-term shareholder return strategy for fiscal years 2026–2028, pledging to return at least $686 million (₩1 trillion) to shareholders over the next three years.

The plan includes:

As part of this initiative, KRAFTON has approved an initial $137 million (₩200 billion) share repurchase program set to commence on February 10, 2026. The company also confirmed plans for year-end cash dividends, pending shareholder approval at its annual general meeting.
