League of Legends Champions Korea Cup Final Set for Hong Kong
Riot Games and Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong have announced that the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Cup will take place at the Kai Tak Arena from February 28 to March 1.
The Kai Tak Arena can accommodate around 10,000 spectators, depending on the setup. This event marks a historic moment for the LCK, as it will be the first final held outside of South Korea. Additionally, the top two teams will secure their spots in the 2026 First Stand Tournament (FST) in Brazil, scheduled for March 13-22.
The LCK play-in stage kicked off on January 14 at LoL PARK in Seoul, featuring 10 teams: BRION, Dplus, DRX, FEARX, SOOPers, Gen.G Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, Nongshim RedForce, and T1 Entertainment & Sports (T1). The competition is also backed by 11 sponsors, including Woori Bank, CHZZK, UPbit, POSCO, Cass, LG UltraGear, JW Pharmaceutical, Golden Dew, Logitech G, Secretlab, and CGV.
Hong Kong has been making strides in the esports scene. In November 2025, global tournament organizer BLAST held its inaugural BLAST Rivals Fall 2025 in collaboration with the Esports Association of Hong Kong, China (ESAHK) at AsiaWorld-Arena, which saw packed crowds each day, according to sources close to BLAST and ESAHK.
