Nebula Esports Win BGMS 2026 Season 5: How They Took the Grand Finals Crown in Delhi
Nebula Esports are the champions of the BGMI Masters Series Season 5, also known as BGMS 2026. The squad finished the three-day Grand Finals at the Nodwin Gaming Arena in New Delhi on September 6 with 210 points from 18 matches, comfortably clear of Gladiators Esports on 189 and Orangutan on 187. The win capped a long season for the 24-team event, which began on August 10 and moved through league weeks, a bounty weekend, two super weekends and playoffs before the final 16 teams reached the LAN.
Nebula Dominate Over Three Days
The Grand Finals ran from September 4 to 6 with 16 teams, and play began at 4:00 PM IST each day. Fans could follow the action on the official Nodwin Gaming channel on Kick, with a live crowd inside the arena. The format ended with the Smash Rule on the final day: once a team crossed 204 points, it needed only a single chicken dinner to be crowned champion.
Nebula built their title on consistency. They finished with four chicken dinners, 116 finishes, 66 position points and 28 bonus points. After the first two days they were far ahead of the lobby and sat closest to the Smash threshold. The final day started awkwardly, as Nebula were eliminated early in the opening match on Rondo and remained 11 points short of match point. Even so, none of the chasing teams could close the gap with enough consistency, and Nebula held on to the top spot without winning a single match on the last day.
Final-Day Fireworks and Individual Honours
The closing six matches were far from a procession. Gladiators Esports took the first win of the day on Rondo, with IGL Delta PG clutching the final circle. 8Bit Esports claimed Erangel in the next game, and Orangutan rose from a difficult start to win Miramar after beating TAG and SouL in the closing zones. Rapid Chaos then took a win on Rondo before Orangutan produced a second Miramar victory in match 17, which kept the race alive until the last game. Gladiators closed the event with another win on Erangel, finishing with four chicken dinners of their own, but it was not enough to catch Nebula.
Behind the podium, Rapid Chaos finished fourth with 170 points, TAG took fifth with 163, and RGE completed the top six on 153. Team Tamilas and SouL tied on 136 points in seventh and eighth place.
Individual honours went to two standout fraggers. Nebula’s Knowne was named Finals MVP after collecting 37 finishes across the finals, while Genesis’ Hunterz earned the Most Wicked Player award with 249 finishes over the event.
The result also carries weight beyond the trophy. Nebula’s title earned them an invite to BMSD 2026, KRAFTON India’s invite-only BGMI event with a ₹1 crore prize pool that began on September 22, and it positions them among India’s strongest squads heading into the final stretch of the year. With PMGC 2026 still to come and as many as three Indian teams expected there, the BGMS finale set a high bar for the autumn season.
