TJ Sports Bans TES Player Naiyou for Life

China’s League of Legends esports operator TJ Sports announced on Friday that it has issued a lifetime ban to TOP Esports (TES) player Yang “Naiyou” Zijian from all competitions and related events organized by Tencent, Riot Games, and TJ Sports, following findings of his involvement in multiple instances of match-fixing.

A source close to the situation revealed that Zijian had a history of match-fixing while competing in China’s secondary League of Legends circuit, the League of Legends Development League (LDL). This past misconduct was reportedly used by bookmakers as leverage, threatening to expose his actions unless he continued to comply with their demands.

In response, Top Esports confirmed the termination of Zijian’s contract, stating they would no longer work with him. The organization also announced that any unpaid salary and prize money would be withheld and that they reserved the right to seek damages for breach of contract and associated financial losses.

Zijian joined TES in 2021 as a youth training player for the LDL team and was promoted to the LPL roster in November 2025.

While TJ Sports did not impose a fine on TES, they did issue a formal warning to the organization.

“In this incident, TES reported to TJ Sports in a timely and proactive manner and provided key evidence, which is commendable,” TJ Sports stated. “However, there were significant oversights in TES’s daily player management, resulting in a failure to detect and prevent the player’s misconduct in a timely manner. All LPL teams are expected to take this as a warning.”

This case brings to mind a significant integrity issue from 2020, when the former LPL organization Rogue Warriors (RW) was fined ¥3 million RMB ($434,062 USD) after player Wang “Weiyan” Xiang was found guilty of match-fixing during LPL competitions.
