BGMI Update 4.5 Is Here — Naruto Takes Over and Spider-Man Is Coming Next

KRAFTON India has dropped one of the biggest updates in BGMI’s five-year history. Update 4.5 went live on July 16, 2026, and it brings the game’s largest anime collaboration to date — a full Naruto Shippuden crossover that transforms three of BGMI’s most popular maps into the iconic world of the Hidden Leaf Village. If that wasn’t enough, a Spider-Man mode is locked in as a follow-up, arriving on July 30. For BGMI’s 40 million-plus monthly active players in India, this update is a very big deal.

The Naruto Mode — What’s Actually in It

The Naruto Theme Mode is the centrepiece of Update 4.5, and it’s available across Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok — each with its own level of integration.

Erangel gets the most comprehensive treatment, featuring iconic locations from the anime including the Hidden Leaf Village, Hokage Rock, Naruto’s Apartment, and the Ichiraku Ramen Shop. Livik incorporates classic anime landmarks alongside new ninja items, while Sanhok fully supports the new ninjutsu abilities and gear. Players can also visit the Valley of the End and the Chunin Exam Arena, two of the most recognisable settings from the series.

The abilities added to the mode are genuinely impressive in scope. Players can use Rasengan, Chidori, Flying Raijin Jutsu, Shadow Clone Jutsu, Great Fireball Jutsu, and Earth Style Mud Wall — all activated through standard controls or, uniquely, through a new Voice-Activated Ninjutsu system that lets players trigger certain abilities using their microphone. It’s a fun addition that adds another layer of immersion to an already visually packed mode.

The headline encounter of the update is the Kurama Boss Battle — a multi-stage fight against the legendary Nine-Tailed Fox that requires coordinated team play to take down. New limited-time modes including Defend Konoha and Valley of the End Solo Duel have also been added alongside the main Naruto experience, giving players different ways to engage with the collaboration beyond the standard Battle Royale format. Naruto-themed outfits, weapon skins, and collectibles are available as event rewards and through the in-game store.

Spider-Man Is Coming on July 30

As if the Naruto collab wasn’t enough, KRAFTON has confirmed that the Spider-Man Brand New Day mode arrives on July 30, just two weeks after the Naruto update. The mode, titled Ninjas Assemble and Spider-Man Brand New Day within the update notes, is the second major collaboration of Update 4.5 — though specific details about the Spider-Man gameplay mechanics and locations have not yet been fully revealed ahead of its launch date. Given the scale of what Naruto delivered, expectations are understandably high.

How to Download and What to Expect

The BGMI 4.5 update is available now on both Android via the Google Play Store and iOS via the App Store. It can also be downloaded manually as an APK from the official BGMI website. The update rolled out in phases from July 16, so if you haven’t updated yet, head to your respective store and it should be available. The Naruto Mode is live until September, giving players several weeks to explore all the content before it wraps up.

With the game also celebrating its 5th Anniversary this month and GodLike Esports representing India at the Esports World Cup in Paris, July 2026 has been a landmark month for BGMI on almost every front.
