Fortnite Toy Story Collaboration Rumored: Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Zurg Skins Could Be Coming Soon
A new crossover may soon arrive in Fortnite, and this time it could bring characters from one of Pixar’s most beloved franchises. According to reports circulating within the Fortnite community, the battle royale game may soon feature a collaboration with Toy Story, potentially introducing iconic characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Emperor Zurg as playable skins.
The information was first shared by well-known Fortnite insider FNBRintel, who claimed that these characters could be added in a future update. While Epic Games has not officially confirmed the crossover yet, the rumor has quickly gained attention among fans of both franchises.
Another Pixar Collaboration for Fortnite
If the collaboration turns out to be real, it wouldn’t be the first time Fortnite has partnered with a Pixar property. In the past, Epic Games introduced characters from The Incredibles into the game, allowing players to purchase themed cosmetics inspired by the animated superhero family.
More recently, Fortnite also added a character from Pixar’s upcoming film Hoppers. The character Tom the lizard appeared in the game to promote the movie ahead of its theatrical release on March 6. These partnerships highlight Epic Games’ ongoing collaboration with Disney and Pixar to bring popular animated characters into Fortnite’s expanding universe.
Timing Could Align With Toy Story 5
The rumored crossover may also be connected to the release of Toy Story 5, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 19. The new film will once again feature the voices of Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear.
With the movie arriving later this year, introducing Toy Story-themed skins in Fortnite could serve as a promotional tie-in while also giving players the chance to play as some of the franchise’s most recognizable characters.
The rumored crossover also fits into a much larger collaboration between Disney and Epic Games. Disney has invested billions into Epic to help develop a large-scale entertainment universe connected to Fortnite, although many details about the project remain under wraps.
While fans will have to wait for official confirmation, the possibility of Woody, Buzz, and Zurg joining Fortnite has already sparked excitement across the gaming community. If the collaboration becomes reality, it could be another major addition to Fortnite’s ever-growing lineup of pop culture crossovers.
