Story, Characters and What Makes This Different

The game centres on a young Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago before they became the hardened veterans of the original trilogy. Set in the chaos of E-Day itself, the story explores the bond between the two characters in the moments that defined who they would become. The tone is deliberately darker and more personal than Gears 5, stripping back some of that game’s more expansive open-world elements in favour of a focused, emotionally grounded linear campaign.

Multiplayer is built around the reworked 4v4 Versus format and the redesigned Horde Siege mode — both of which received significant community feedback during the beta that The Coalition has confirmed will be used to make final adjustments before launch.
