GTA 6 Is Launching November 19 — Everything We Know Heading Into Summer 2026
After two delays, countless leaks, and what feels like the longest wait in gaming history, Grand Theft Auto 6 finally has a locked release date. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have officially confirmed November 19, 2026 as the launch date for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S — and this time, the date appears to be holding firm.

Why November 19 Is Almost Certainly Not Moving Again
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed the November 19 date during the company’s most recent earnings call, and the financial stakes make any further delay essentially unthinkable. The company’s full-year revenue guidance for fiscal year 2027 sits at $8 to $8.2 billion — a roughly 20% jump from the previous year — and analysts estimate that GTA 6 alone will account for somewhere between $3 to $4 billion of that figure between launch and March 2027. A third delay would force an immediate forecast cut and almost certainly trigger a significant drop in Take-Two’s stock price, making it the most financially consequential gaming release of the decade.
GTA 6 was originally expected in late 2025 before being pushed to May 2026 and then pushed again to November. The studio has stayed characteristically quiet about the game’s details — two trailers have been released, one in December 2023 and a second in May 2025 — and both have been enormous events. Trailer 2 alone racked up roughly 165 million views on YouTube.
What to Expect in the Coming Weeks
The marketing machine is expected to finally kick into gear around late June 2026, with Zelnick indicating that Rockstar plans to start its full promotional push at the start of summer. Pre-orders have not yet opened, and no official price or edition tiers have been announced. A third trailer is widely expected to drop alongside the pre-order announcement, which could make late June or early July one of the biggest gaming news weeks of the year.
At launch, GTA 6 will be exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC release has not been confirmed, though Rockstar has historically brought its major titles to PC after a console window. For Indian players, the IST release time will be confirmed closer to launch — but November 19 is the date to mark in your calendar.
