If you’re looking to enter Hernand Castle in Crimson Desert, you’ll need to secure a special outfit to impress the guards. As hinted in the tutorial, not just anyone can stroll in without the right attire—Hernandian Attire is a must.

Here’s how to snag this outfit, what treasures await you inside the castle, and why you should keep it on while you’re there. Trust me, you don’t want to take it off.

To get through the castle gate after arriving at the Royal Trading Post, you’ll need the Hernandian Attire. There are two ways to obtain it:

It’s usually best to save your silver and just complete the main quest, which doesn’t take long. Once you have the outfit, head to the gate. Inside the castle, you’ll find the Contribution shop and the Hernand Castle Strongbox, but you’ll need a key to access the strongbox room and the ability to steal items to claim your rewards.

Some armor from the Contribution shop will also grant you access to the castle in the future. Once you hit Chapter 3, the gates will open, and you won’t need to wear the attire anymore.

Just remember to keep the outfit on during the earlier chapters to avoid any unwanted confrontations with the guards. If you do get caught, make a run for the gate, and they’ll toss you out safely.
