A Guide to Collecting Azure Kelp for Your Hytale Teleporter Construction
I’m no mage or alchemist, but I have to say I’m a bit puzzled about why azure kelp is needed to craft a teleporter in Hytale. Let’s dive into where you can find this elusive kelp in your world so you can start crafting your own handy teleporter. While it might involve some exploration, snagging some kelp is pretty straightforward once you know where to look.
The prime spots for azure kelp are in the bodies of water like lakes and rivers within the azure forest biomes located in Emerald Grove, the starting area. These biomes are characterized by their striking blue trees and bluish grass (you guessed it, azure), and they often feature numerous small ponds or rivers weaving through them. You can easily identify azure forests on your map, so zoom in to see if there’s any water nearby before you set off.
Once you reach the water, keep an eye out for azure kelp, a bright blue plant that glimmers and often sticks out above the surface. Since it’s a plant, just press F to harvest it. If you break it with any tool or even your bare hands, you’ll get azure petals, but that’s not what you’re after.
From my experience, you’ll typically find only one or two pieces of azure kelp in each body of water, so you may need to explore several azure forests. However, if luck is on your side, you might stumble upon a large forest with a good ten pools to gather from.
While you’re in the azure forest collecting kelp, don’t forget to chop down the blue trees for azure logs. This wood is not only rarer and more visually appealing, but you’ll also need eight azure logs along with the two azure kelp to craft the teleporter.
