A Guide to Completing The Emissary Quest in Valor Mortis

☠️ You won’t be able to tackle The Emissary quest until much later in your journey.☠️ To navigate through the toxic clouds, you’ll need the Shield Transmutation, which you acquire at the university.☠️ This is the last transmutation you unlock, and it’s a key part of the game that you can’t overlook.

In Valor Mortis, The Emissary quest is likely the next challenge you’ll face after crossing the bridge in the Valley of Ashes and entering the army camp.

You’ll discover the seal of an emissary from Bonaparte inside an abandoned carriage, but the quest will require you to find a way through the poisonous clouds surrounding the camp to move forward.

To achieve this, you must obtain the Shield Transmutation ability, which won’t be available until much later in the game when you reach the university in the city. The Valley of Ashes is the second area, while the university is the ninth, highlighting the significant progress you’ll need to make before you can return to complete this quest.

Once you have the ability, use it to traverse the poison, navigate through the camp, and interact with the peculiar corpse to initiate a miniboss encounter. After defeating it, you can open the chest to claim the Perfect Copy amber, which boosts the ranks of all equipped Tier 1 and Tier 2 ambers.
