Acquiring Agave in Arc Raiders: A Quick Guide
Everyone knows that Blue Gate’s Olive Grove is the go-to spot for finding lemons, apricots, and olives in Arc Raiders. But when it comes to Agave, things get trickier. This prickly plant can be elusive, making it a challenge to locate consistently.
You’ll need eight of these spiky plants to contribute to the new Avian Alarm project, and with so many players hunting for the same spots, it can get competitive.
The best area I’ve discovered for Agave is on the spiky plants along the hills near the Dried Riverbed in Riven Tides. This area stretches from the southern edge of the map up toward the Port Authority Building in the north. While there are plenty of these unique plants, you’ll need to get close to determine which ones are harvestable for Agave.
Fortunately, this spot is also rich in Moss, so you might already be familiar with the terrain or have collected some earlier. On one run, I found three Agave and 13 Moss, which means you could be halfway to your goal in just one trip. With a bit of luck, you might complete this task in just two or three matches.
Another promising area to check is around the Pale Apartments and Ruby Residence in the northern part of Dam Battlegrounds, especially along the roads.
There are also three map conditions that can boost your chances of finding Agave. It can spawn in the wicker basket containers scattered throughout the maps during the Lush Blooms modifier. You’ll also find it fairly often in chimneys during the Bird City event, which can yield valuable items like Red Coral Jewelry. Lastly, you can discover it while Beachcombing on Riven Tides, though this method can be quite time-consuming.
Unlike many of the random items needed for the Avian Alarm project, Agave is definitely worth collecting. You can feed it to your pet rooster, Scrappy, who will passively gather items for you, including Mechanical Components and some excellent weapon attachments.
