Complete Guide to The Sims 4 Life & Death Cheats: Become a Reaper and Master Ghost Skills

The Sims 4’s latest ghost-themed expansion has transformed the afterlife into a full-fledged occult experience, introducing new ghost abilities and a Soul’s Journey quest that follows your sim beyond the grave. This comprehensive list of Life & Death cheats will help you enhance your Thanatology skills, climb to the top of the new Reaper career, or quickly unlock powerful abilities for your ghostly sims.

The Life & Death Expansion introduces two new career paths: Undertaker and Reaper. If you’re aiming to wield a scythe and embrace the role of a death dealer, the Reaper career is the active, objective-based path for you.

While there are a few new ways to meet your end in Life & Death, most are just fresh takes on existing deaths, like aging. You can find all the relevant base game death cheats on the cheats page. The only truly new death introduced in this expansion is the Murder of Crows.

Currently, there’s no known cheat code to reverse the Murder of Crows death. Below, I’ll explain how to achieve this death quickly, but be warned: I haven’t found a way to undo it, so proceed with caution!

As mentioned, there’s no known trait cheat to easily remove the crow death status. However, there is a method to un-ghost yourself using cheats, though it hasn’t worked for me; when I re-enter Live Mode, my sim remains a crow ghost. Here’s how to remove a cause of death:

The Life & Death expansion adds a new skill track for Thanatology. Make sure to enable cheats with the command `testingcheats true` before setting a skill level via cheat code.

This expansion also introduces three new standard sim traits: Chased By Death, Macabre, and Skeptical. You can easily add or remove these traits using the codes below.

❗ Keep in mind that Macabre and Skeptical are mutually exclusive traits, so you’ll need to remove one before adding the other.

Grief styles are a new feature in this expansion that determines the mood your sim will typically experience while mourning a death. These styles are displayed in the simology panel alongside their other traits.

To conveniently add items to your sim’s bucket list in the Soul’s Journey section of their Aspirations panel:

Select a bucket list category like “I want to create!” or “I wanna party!” to open a menu for specific bucket list goals.

To quickly complete ranks in your sim’s Soul Journey, use the cheats below to jump to a specific rank. You can even skip straight to the end of your Soul’s Journey by using the highest rank cheat right away.

❗ Note that you must become a ghost to progress to the ranks “Newfound Purpose” and “The Big Picture,” but these cheats will allow you to skip ahead to the final rank after becoming a ghost.

Once your sim becomes a ghost, they will earn ghost experience points in their Simology panel, similar to other occult sim types. Use the cheats below to advance ghost ranks and unlock ghost powers.

After reaching the Transcendent Wraith rank, you can unlock either the good or evil Ultimate Ability as a ghost using the cheats below. Use the “Ghost Mastery” interaction category on another sim to either grant them longevity and fulfill their needs or drain their life force and deplete their needs meters, depending on your alignment.
