Cracking the Sanctum of Absolution Puzzle in Crimson Desert

Solving the Sanctum of Absolution puzzle in Crimson Desert can be quite the challenge, especially since one of the required items is cleverly hidden—it took me a while to track it down. This sanctum is more intricate than others, like the Sanctum of Benediction, as it features one of the Antumbra bosses: Antumbra’s Sword.

While not as intimidating as Beloth, this boss can be a tough encounter if you tackle him too early, so keep in mind that you can always return later when you’ve invested more in your Abyss Artifacts. Here’s how to cleanse the Sanctum of Absolution and uncover the secret chest tucked away in the ruins.

To start, you need to liberate the Sanctum of Absolution before you can cleanse it, which involves taking down the Antumbra Order enemies surrounding the sanctum and defeating the Antumbra’s Sword boss.

This boss can be quite challenging, so make sure to stock up on food, bring Palmar Pills for revives, refine your weapons and gear, and equip Abyss Gear. Also, ensure you’ve invested enough in health and stamina—standard boss-fighting advice.

Once you’ve defeated the boss, you can cleanse the shrine and discover a hidden chest. However, you’ll need the Kuku Pot from the Kiln Repair quest in Chapter 4 to access it.
