Crafting Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2: A Quick Guide

Finding Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2 can be a bit of a challenge, especially when you first need them to craft the Sonic Resonator. Unlike the basic materials you’ve been gathering, Titanium Ingots require you to use a machine, adding an extra layer to the crafting process.

The good news is that once you get the hang of it, it’s not too complicated. However, you’ll need to scan and unlock a specific facility to get started, and this process will be similar for later ingots like silver, lead, gold, and lithium.

To create Titanium Ingots (and other metal ingots), you need to build a Processor in your base using the Habitat Builder tool. If you haven’t unlocked this facility yet, you’ll need to scan one to obtain the blueprint. You can find a Processor in the Old Habitat, located about 350 meters north of the Lifepod, where you’ll be directed to locate Quaker’s black box.

To construct the Processor, gather the following materials:

Once the Processor is in place, interact with it to select a recipe for manufacturing. Load the required ingredients, and the machine will automatically start crafting. For Titanium Ingots, you’ll need three titanium pieces, and it takes about 30 seconds to process. Keep in mind that using the Processor will consume additional power from your base, so ensure you have enough electricity to spare.

You’ll need Titanium Ingots for crafting the Sonic Resonator and the Repair Tool, as well as essential base components like the Bioreactor, Tadpole Dock, and the Tadpole vehicle itself. To gather plenty of titanium, I recommend exploring a large trench near a natural current, roughly 350-400 meters north of the Lifepod.

Later on, you’ll follow a similar process to gather lithium and Plasteel Ingots for crafting the crucial High Capacity Air Tank upgrade and Strong Acid for making Power Cells.
