Discover the Location of Grunt Birthday Party in Halo: Campaign Evolved

Few things capture the essence of Halo quite like popping a Grunt’s head while surrounded by the cheers of children and a shower of confetti. Good news for fans: the Grunt Birthday Party skull is still up for grabs in Halo: Campaign Evolved. This collectible, along with 32 others added to the game, can be found in the new bonus missions.

While this guide avoids major spoilers, I will share some details about the final bonus mission to help you locate the skull, so proceed with that in mind. Here’s how to track down the Grunt Birthday Party skull.

You’ll find the Grunt Birthday Party skull in the third and final bonus mission, Heavy Burden, rather than in the main campaign. It’s located in the second section, titled ‘Two-Fisted Cyborg Justice’. If you’ve already completed the mission, load up Rally Point Bravo after you and Johnson gather intel from the bridge.

Follow the navigation markers down the lift and continue along the path until you ascend another short lift. Keep going until you reach a large room filled with purple torches on your left, which you’ll enter from the upper level. Descend the short stairs ahead, glance to your left, and you’ll spot the skull perched atop a tall rock sculpture in the center of the room.

To reach it, head over to the central raised platform visible to your left. You can get there by dropping down or using the walkway. Jump onto the edge of the torch and then sprint jump to the lower level of the rock sculpture. From there, you can leap up and grab the skull to unlock the Grunt Birthday Party.

To activate the skull, simply select the ‘new game’ option or any mission, then toggle it on in the skull menu before loading in. It will remain active for any subsequent missions you play after that.
