StarRupture’s tutorial gives you a solid foundation in base-building, but when it comes to exploration, you’re left to figure things out on your own. This can be a real hurdle when you’re on the hunt for the Rotor and Tube blueprints, essential for crafting key items. You might be wondering what a blueprint is. Here’s the catch: you won’t find them safely tucked away in your base. Instead, you’ll need to gear up and head out to explore the planet.
Fortunately, you don’t have to trek too far to locate the Rotor and Tube blueprints, as they’re both found in the same area. However, be warned—this location is crawling with terrifying monsters. Don’t even think about wandering over with just your mining laser. It’s wise to craft the starter Reaper pistol and stock up on a few hundred rounds.
As shown in the video, you can find both blueprints at the SMB ‘Purple Haze’ outpost, also known as Selenian’s Mining Base, located to the northwest of your starting lander.
To be more specific, they’re tucked away in a blue chest on the ground floor of the two-story building at the back of the outpost. The front door is locked, so you’ll need to navigate around to the right side, scale the rocks, and jump onto the top floor to access it.
Keep in mind that this area is swarming with aliens that will take a few bullets to take down. They spawn continuously, and another wave will appear once you collect the blueprints, so make sure to bring at least 300 bullets with you.
After you’ve secured the Rotor and Tube blueprints, return to your base’s Recipe Station and submit them to their respective recipes in the Fabricator, along with the other necessary materials and Data Points.
With these blueprints added to your recipe book, you can start setting up new production lines, as Rotors and Tubes are crucial for leveling up corporations at higher tiers, like the significant number of Rotors needed for Moon Energy levels four and five.
