Every Confirmed Weapon in GTA 6 Trailers and Screenshots Explored

You won’t get far in Vice City without a solid arsenal, and Jason and Lucia are diving headfirst into a crime spree. Just like we’ve explored the cars, map locations, and characters, I’ve sifted through everything available about GTA 6 to highlight the weapons we can expect and how they might differ from what we’ve seen before.

So far, I’ve identified 19 guns from the trailers and screenshots released. The level of customization for some of these weapons remains a mystery, and it’s unclear if similar-looking guns are actually distinct models. I’ve also left out melee weapons since it’s tough to determine which ones will be available, but you can bet there will be the usual knives, bats, and more.

One interesting trend is the increase in named weapons. In GTA 5, most firearms were generically labeled, like ‘pistol’ or ‘heavy pistol’. However, many of the guns in GTA 6 have specific names, which should help players differentiate them in-game.

The Morgan is a revolver inspired by the Smith & Wesson 629, and it’s sure to deliver some serious firepower. There are two modified versions for Jason and Lucia in the Ultimate Edition, each featuring unique serial numbers that reference the release dates of GTA Vice City and Vice City Stories.

Lucia’s go-to sidearm is the K17, which appears to be based on the real G17. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jason can wield it too. The Ultimate Edition offers a custom paint job for this favorite firearm.

Jason’s preferred pistol is modeled after the Beretta 92FS, and he’s been seen with it multiple times in the trailers and screenshots. Like Lucia’s weapon, it also comes with a custom paint option in the Ultimate Edition.

The Mustang is a powerful revolver based on the Colt Python. While it’s uncertain if it will surpass the custom Morgans, you can’t go wrong with a magnum for that extra flair.

We’ve spotted this compact handgun frequently, even on the cover art with Lucia holding it. Given its size and prevalence, I wouldn’t expect the Nipper to be a top-tier weapon.

The full name of this Capo pistol is still under wraps, but it made an appearance in the earliest GTA 6 reveals. Jason was seen holding it during the liquor store heist in the first trailer, and Raul Bautista has one in a later screenshot. It resembles a Colt M1911 quite a bit.

There are two variations of an M4-inspired carbine, likely the same weapon with different attachments. If you look closely, you’ll notice the Duke Arms Company insignia. Fans of Red Dead Redemption will recognize this manufacturer, which has clearly transitioned from the wild west to the criminal underbelly of GTA.

Another unnamed weapon is an SMG that closely resembles the MP5, which we saw both Jason and Lucia using during a bank heist in the second trailer. Jason’s version even sports a red dot sight, hinting at potential in-game upgrades.

Similar to the Duke carbine, this rifle also bears the Duke insignia on the magwell, but it lacks a model name for now. It’s seen in the hands of a hunter, appearing to be modified with rail slides. It could be a variant of the carbine since many base components look alike.

In one screenshot, two hunters are seen in the woods, each carrying what appear to be different sniper rifles. The clearer one resembles a Remington 700 bolt action, which should deliver a solid punch despite its slower rate of fire.

The poachers are showcasing more rifles without visible names, including a sniper that looks a lot like an M1A. I’d wager it will function similarly to the marksman rifle in GTA 5, offering a higher rate of fire but less damage than a traditional bolt-action.

We don’t have a name for this SMG yet, but it’s clearly modeled after the MAC-10, identifiable by its boxy design and stubby muzzle. Jason has given it a stylish paint job from the Vintage Vice City pre-order pack in one image.

No GTA game would be complete without a classic double-barreled shotgun. We’ve seen a hunter aiming one at an alligator in a screenshot, and it features a full-length barrel. I’m curious if we can modify it to create a sawed-off version.

In the second trailer, we get a glimpse of Phil’s Ammu-Nation, where the owner proudly displays his wares. He picks up what looks like a machine gun modeled after the M249, complete with a large box magazine.

On the racks at Phil’s, there’s a variety of AK-47 models, likely showcasing different attachments available for players to choose from.

Also visible in the background are several SMGs. It appears to be various configurations of an Uzi, along with potential models like the MP7, MP9, or TEC-9.

Finally, the racks at the gun store reveal a selection of shotguns, including several variations of the iconic Remington 870 pump-action. The ‘pump shotgun’ from GTA 5 was partly inspired by this weapon, mixed with elements of the Mossberg 590.

You can also spot the Benelli M4, known as the M1014 in modern Call of Duty games. It shares similarities with the Mossberg 590, suggesting it could be a return of GTA 5’s ‘pump shotgun’.

And of course, the grenade launcher makes its return in GTA 6. While it’s unclear if it will retain the generic name, the model looks very much like the one from GTA 5. I have no doubt it will be just as effective for taking out pursuing vehicles, helicopters, and more.
