Everything We Know About Season 2 and Its Start Date for Battlefield 6
Battlefield 6 Season 2 is gearing up to kick off in February after an extension of Season 1, and while details are still under wraps, EA has dropped a few hints to keep players intrigued. It looks like chemical warfare will be a significant theme this season, and players can finally expect to take control of the agile Little Bird helicopter. However, EA and Battlefield Studios are keeping most of the details tightly sealed for now. Here’s what we know about Battlefield 6 Season 2 and its release date.
Season 2 of Battlefield 6 and Redsec is set to launch on February 17, following the extension of Season 1. The developers have opted for this delay to allow for “extra time to further polish and refine Season 2” based on ongoing community feedback.
If Season 2 doesn’t face further delays, it should run for the typical three-month duration, wrapping up around May.
Currently, there’s no official word on the specifics of the monthly content drops for Season 2 in Battlefield 6 and Redsec. The only teaser available is a brief seven-second video featuring a soldier in a gas mask surrounded by thick green fog, hinting at the role of chemical warfare in the upcoming season.
Another clue from the video is the unmistakable sound of helicopter rotor blades, likely pointing to the highly anticipated Little Bird helicopter, which has been a fan favorite since the game’s launch. A leak from November 2025 by a Twitter user suggested that Season 2 would introduce the Little Bird, and it has been lurking in the game’s files for quite some time, even appearing in playtests. It seems almost certain that this scout chopper will make its debut in Season 2.
The same leak also hinted at several new weapons for Battlefield 6, including the Scorpion Evo 3 and the Skorpion machine pistol. Additionally, it mentioned a remake of the Propaganda map from Battlefield 4, originally set in North Korea but now relocated to Bulgaria. This map has been referenced in leaks prior to the game’s release and has been found in the game’s files post-launch, suggesting it could finally be introduced in Season 2 alongside the Little Bird.
Keep in mind that all of this is speculation based on limited information from EA and potentially unreliable leaks. We’ll provide updates as soon as official details about the new content for Season 2 are available.
While we await more concrete information, expect the Battlefield 6 maps and weapons roster to expand with the arrival of Season 2.
