The Helldivers 2 Steeled Veterans Warbond features a variety of weapons and armor that can be unlocked using Medals. The veterans may have a strong will, but they also come equipped with metal prosthetics as part of the exclusive armor sets, which contribute to the Servo-Assisted passive. You’ll also gain access to some powerful new firearms, including the explosive Dominator and the Senator revolver. Below, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about the Steeled Veterans Warbond in Helldivers 2, including the effectiveness of its weapons.

If you’re on the fence about purchasing the Steeled Veterans Warbond in Helldivers 2, the short answer is that it may not be worth it at this stage. As the first premium Warbond, the gear feels somewhat basic compared to the more advanced options available in later Warbonds. In essence, it doesn’t rank highly on our tier list, so you might want to allocate your Super Credits elsewhere. Even the Cutting Edge Warbond, which came after, features the Sickle, while the standard Breaker is available in the free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond—both of which are among the best weapons in the game.

Fortunately, the Steeled Veterans Warbond isn’t going anywhere—unlike many other games, Helldivers 2 doesn’t impose a time limit on its battle passes—so you have plenty of time to decide whether to pursue it.

The Helldivers 2 Steeled Veterans Warbond consists of 25 items spread across three pages, with costs increasing as you progress through the battle pass. As you unlock items on the earlier pages, you’ll need to spend a certain number of Medals to access the later ones. Below, we’ve outlined everything available in the Steeled Veterans pass, including costs and gameplay tweaks.

Players can unlock the Steeled Veterans battle pass by purchasing it with Helldivers 2 Super Credits—this currency can be acquired through microtransactions or earned in-game during missions as part of the progression system—or by using a Helldivers 2 Warbond Token from the Super Citizen edition of the game (you can upgrade to this special edition if you already own the standard version).

If you don’t have the Super Citizen edition, you’ll need to pay 1000 Super Credits, which is equivalent to $9.99 / £7.99.

The Steeled Veterans Warbond was succeeded by the arguably better Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond, but there are several others worth considering first, such as the Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond.
