Gothic Remake Release Dates for Your Region Revealed
As someone who missed out on the original Gothic back in 2001, the buzz around the Gothic Remake has definitely caught my attention since its announcement. With the launch date fast approaching, it’s exciting to see how this classic RPG has been updated for modern gamers.
Returning to the Colony after 25 years, our preview highlights that while the visuals have received a significant upgrade, it still retains the charm of the “scrappy eurojank RPG” it has always been. And honestly, that’s part of its appeal.
The Gothic Remake is set to launch on Friday, June 5, in most regions, with a June 6 release for others, at various times worldwide.
While you’ll have to hold off a bit longer to explore the Valley of Mines, you can dive into the demo, known as the Nyras Prologue, in the meantime. Interestingly, this standalone prologue doesn’t feature the Nameless Hero, but it offers a glimpse of what the full game has in store.
As of now, preloading the Gothic Remake isn’t an option on any platform. However, with a file size of around 30-40 GB on PC (Steam recommends having 60 GB free), it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle based on your internet speed.
Mark your calendars for the PC Gaming Show returning on Sunday, June 7, at 12 PM PDT! You can check out the show’s Steam page to wishlist your most anticipated titles and find out how to catch all the exciting announcements.
