Guide to Acquiring Shrooms in Schedule 1

After months of channeling my inner Walter White in Schedule 1, I can finally broaden my underground empire with some less volatile products. Growing shrooms may not yield the highest profits compared to crafting the best Schedule 1 weed mixes, but they do require a bit of attention to keep your new clientele satisfied.

I’ve been cultivating my own mushroom kingdom since the beta, so if you’re looking to dive in, I’ve got the lowdown on how to grow shrooms in Schedule 1, including which NPCs and suppliers you’ll need to befriend.

This guide is for Schedule 1, a satirical video game centered around the drug trade, and it does not provide any real information about illegal substances. Please do not attempt anything in this guide outside of the game.

To kick things off, you’ll need to befriend the shroom supplier and his key contacts before you can gather the necessary supplies for your fungal harvest. Once you reach Hustler 1 rank and can start selling to customers in the Downtown area, keep an eye out for Elizabeth Homley and Kevin Oakley.

I gained access to the shroom supplier, Fungal Phil, after making a few sales to both Kevin and Elizabeth, so it shouldn’t take long for them to warm up to you and share Phil’s contact info. With Fungal Phil’s number saved, you can finally purchase the three essential ingredients for growing shrooms—substrate, syringes, and grain bags. Now, all you need is the right setup.

Once you have Fungal Phil’s contact, the rest is straightforward. You already have access to Dan’s Hardware and the Warehouse (where Oscar’s Store is located) in Northtown, so swing by both shops with your perfectly normal shopping list and stock up.

You’ll only need one of each item from both Dan and Oscar, but if you’re looking to ramp up production, consider grabbing a few extra mushroom beds. Remember, Fungal Phil’s supplies are one-time use, so plan your budget wisely if you’re serious about the shroom game.

Don’t forget about packaging; you’ll need extra packing stations, baggies, and jars. You can also enhance your soil with fertilizer to grow higher quality shrooms more quickly, but it’s not essential to get started.

You can begin your shroom cultivation in Schedule 1 at any property, so find a suitable shady spot with some extra space and prepare to set up shop. The toughest part is behind you, but here’s a step-by-step guide for growing shrooms:

Just like your budding weed plants, you’ll watch your tiny toadstools gradually emerge from the soil until they’re ready for trimming. Once you’ve harvested them, replenish the mushroom bed with substrate and restart the process. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you can always explore the best Schedule 1 shroom mixes to keep your profits and customers thriving.
