Guide to Finishing the Art Lover Quest in Black Flag Resynced

Completing the Art Lover quest in Black Flag Resynced involves tracking down art pieces from the scattered collection on Great Inagua and returning them to the manor. This quest is part of the new content introduced in Resynced, featuring a new character named Bernard, an elderly butler who served the manor’s previous owner before Du Casse took over.

To finish the Art Lover quest, you’ll need to locate 30 art pieces throughout the Caribbean. You’ll need to check in with Bernard after finding 15 and again after 25, before wrapping up the quest at 30. Completing it rewards you with the Master Assassin outfit, one of Ezio’s iconic looks, along with the Obsidian Hull ornament.

While there are various methods to collect the art, keep in mind that Templar and pirate portraits displayed in the manor do not count towards this quest. Here’s how to gather the art collection:

Each time you board a ship for the first time after defeating it, you’ll unlock its model, which counts towards the Inagua art collection since you can showcase them on a shelf in the main room. With both British and Spanish variants for each ship type, you can easily rack up ten art pieces, plus additional ship models as you progress through the main story.

You can purchase six art pieces from any General Store, but since they cost Reales, it might be wise to save your money and consider this option as a last resort, depending on how quickly you want to complete the quest and earn Ezio’s Revelations outfit.

The first time you loot a plantation warehouse, you’ll receive a painting that contributes to the Great Inagua art collection. Plantations are marked by island symbols featuring three plants sprouting from soil. You’ll need to enter, find the key, and unlock the warehouse door, which may also contain treasure maps.

Some of Kenway’s fleet missions, which you can organize via the map in the manor or Jackdaw’s cabin, offer art pieces as rewards, particularly the Piracy and Trade missions. These missions are marked with a scale and skull symbol on the map, and their type is listed below the title.

For Piracy missions, you’ll need a brig, and for Trade missions, a schooner. Look for missions that display a furniture or art piece icon in their rewards—they’re typically easy to spot, as they are the only rewards with “1x” next to them, aside from map pieces.

Additionally, some buried treasure maps may reward you with art pieces. However, one specific treasure map is locked by the main story until you visit the island of Principe, which isn’t on the main map. If you encounter difficulties, refer to a treasure map guide for assistance.

With these strategies, you should be able to gather the 30 pieces you need. Just remember to return to Bernard when the quest marker reappears in Great Inagua. To check your progress, open the world map, press X to access the quest list via the prompt in the top right, and cycle through side quests to find and activate it.
