In Crimson Desert, your pet dogs can now join the fight by using a special item.

The Sigil of Valor is a fresh addition to Crimson Desert, introduced in the latest patch, and it empowers your pet dogs to join the battle alongside you. While they may not be the fiercest fighters, they can occasionally take a bite out of a bandit and even score a solo kill now and then.

Think of them as a less effective version of Silver Fang in combat, especially if you decide to bring a bulldog into the mix. Here’s how to get your hands on the Sigil of Valor for your dogs and see it in action.

You can purchase the Sigil of Valor from Lacey, the Pororin Secret Vendor located in Florindale, which is in the southeastern part of the Hernand region. First, you’ll need to unlock access to Florindale by completing the Unreachable Village questline. This is a straightforward task—you just need to get hit with a sleep dart while trying to enter the village three times. After that, a Shai named Arklin will appear to give you the quest. Finishing the second stage, Unauthorized Access, also rewards you with the Sotdae of Bond for taming birds, making it a worthwhile endeavor.

Lacey doesn’t have a fixed vendor marker, but I spotted her wandering along the path near the large tree in the center of Florindale around 10 AM. She’s a small girl with a backpack and will show up as ??? when you approach her. You can buy up to three Sigils of Valor, which enable your dogs to attack enemies, as well as three Sigils of Bonding that allow your cats to permanently perch on your shoulder, even while you’re on the move. Each costs eight silver.

To equip the Sigil of Valor, treat it like any other piece of pet armor. Make your chosen dog your active pet, then select the item from your inventory. Once equipped, your dog will occasionally jump into combat, taking bites out of foes. They may not be overly aggressive, but as shown in the clip, they can sometimes take down an enemy all on their own.
